Attention Chocolate Lovers
My friend Kristin and I are eating dessert at this amazing chocolate restaurant called Max Brenner. You have never seen so many chocolate choices in your life. They even have pipes that supposedly carry chocolate throughout the restaurant!
Bits

Ready for my schedule for next week?
Monday morning fly to San Francisco
Tuesday morning fly to New York City
Thursday afternoon fly to Denver
That's twice across the country in four days. And oh yeah, I might be going to Cambridge, MA on Wednesday.
NYC is still beautiful and it's not hot. Last night a friend from work and I strolled up to the 5th Avenue Apple Store to buy me an extra battery. It lasts fine on the Denver to LaGuardia flights but I need to work on the San Francisco to JFK flight so there you go. It was just a perfect night, cool but not cool enough for a jacket.
Skip and I are planning a vacation in Hawaii for this fall. I have so many Hilton and United points that the airfare and room(s) will be free! I've never been more than 100 feet off the continent so it should be very exciting. And more importantly, Denver flys there direct so no layovers! With all the flying I do, I really can't believe how long it's been since I had to change planes (years).
So far this year I've flown 37,000 miles.
Poor Jenna Fischer from The Office (Pam) broke her back a few weeks ago right here in NYC. She's recuperating very close to my hotel and takes walks every day in Central Park. I can see the park from my window right now. I want to give her a hug but I think that would hurt!
No way I'm moving to Poland now

Just ridiculous. The Polish government has launched a full scale investigation to decide if Tinky Winky is gay and corrupting the youth. Well what does that involve? Sitting down with the remote and analyzing every Teletubbies episode frame-by-frame? I would think even with heavy medication you'd be crazy as a loon by the time that exercise is done.

That's enough of that
So my 18-month old XBOX 360 died and Microsoft wants $140 to fix it. Never mind that they have publicly admitted that the models made around that time were defective. So I took a look at my game collection and decided there were only two games I really wanted to keep:
Viva Pinata! - Skip and I love this one. It's like the Sims for your garden with cute animals.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted - One of my favorite games on any system. I'm not very good at the races but I LOVE having the cops chase me and seeing how long I can evade them (I think my record is almost 30 minutes).
So... I am taking my 360 games to EBGames for credit, I'm going to Circuit City and buying Need For Speed: Most Wanted for $5 on sale, buying the adapter so I can use the Microsoft controller with my PC and that's that.
Now if my Wii broke that would be a whole different story.

Rosie
So she's gone. Part of me wishes she would stay just to send the message that friends can fight and it's not the end of the world. But she obviously feels that this is the best thing for her so good for her. I will just wait patiently until her next endeavor.
One of my favorite blogs, Modern Fabulousity, summed up my feelings well...
She's left The View for good. And although I'll miss her, I don't blame her...who wants to sit around with a shrill, evil little Republican shrew every day? Being pro-Bush and for the Iraq War in this day and age, when we all know how badly it has gone FUBAR, means you are either massively stupid, massively evil, or massively out of touch with reality...or all three. As Janine Garofalo says, being Republican is not a political position, it is a character flaw. Hasselbeck should hang her head in shame.

Snow
Just a random pic from the lab I'm working in so I can tell you that it is snowing at my house. It waited until right after Sarah left.

Another test
Two weeks ago I took my Sametime exam for Notes 7, today I'm taking my System Admnistration Update exam.
Then it's on to the Application Development update exams!
Exciting news, I know.

Cambridge
It's Thursday, I'm going home today and Sarah will be there! I just want a week at home but it looks like that is at least 6 weeks away. As part of my current work project I will probably be in Cambridge, MA for a few weeks starting in June. Farther north for cooler temps in late spring? I'm there!
The air quality is just nasty here in NYC. You can just feel the smog as soon as you walk outside. If I had a baby I certainly couldn't live here just for that reason.

You should be ashamed!

You, of course, being the people who put together the Tony nominations. Shame!
No nomination for Kristin Chenoweth in The Apple Tree? No nomination for John Mahoney in Prelude to a Kiss?
In other news...
The TV Upfronts (unveiling of the fall TV schedule) are happening right across the street from my office this week. The whole cast of The Office was there on Monday and some of the cast of Grey's Anatomy was there yesterday. So close and yet so far! Speaking of Grey's Anatomy, did you see last week's episode where they wove the new series in? It didn't do too much for me.
Jerry Falwell is dead. I hope he is receiving as much tolerence in his current life has he doled out in this one.
Sarah comes to visit today! Of course I won't see her until tomorrow...
I am worn out! Gone are the long walks around the city. In are the quick walks back to the hotel to hibernate after work.
